Wednesday Part 2 - Shengjin Tower

After seeing the Eyes of Nanchang earlier in the day, we headed across town to the Shengjin Tower. This tower is smaller than the pavilion the previous day, but still incredible. It used to be known as the gates to the city. It is a Buddhist temple with many worship temples, gardens, koi ponds, etc.  Walking into the main area, the girls were once again mauled by a crowd of astonished onlookers. One guy took like 20 pictures with the girls and kissed each of them on the head. He also wanted to shake Dana and my hand. He saw us later and wanted to take more. Here are some pictures of our time at the tower.

After the tower, I went to the market with Elsie again to grab a few more supplies to get us through the rest of our time in Nanchang. One funny moment in the market, there was an older gentleman carrying a basket (the kind you would see in any shopping store). The basket was full of food and supplies, but all of a sudden the basket started to flop around. At the bottom of the basket was a live fish he had just bought from the tank in the deli area. Even Elsie said "haha fish still alive". Things are just a bit different here!

On Wednesday we decided to cancel one of our two rooms because everything was going so well and one room really is big enough. About 9:00, everyone was asleep except me and Mr. Mags. For about an hour we played and I watched as this incredible little man figured out how everything in our hotel room worked. Here is a selfie that I took during our little evening. He is just wonderful! I am such a proud and extremely blessed "baba" of 4!
